Cattle Fence and Blue Skies
The Carrizo Plain is a wide open area that was once a big ranch area. There are still quite a few cattle in the area.
San Andreas Fault
The fault runs right through the Carrizo Plain and many signs of it quite visible.
Soda Lake Road
The only access through Carrizo Plain, a good portion of it is unpaved and unpassable after a rain.
The lake was pretty much dried up at this time of year.
The area is wide open grasslands surrounded by rolling hills.
